About Us
District Sports is a sports coaching and management services company which specialises in school and community coaching. This coaching covers multiple sports and is delivered during school time as part of the curriculum, at after school activity clubs, holiday sports schemes, weekend open days, and Children’s sports parties.
Since our launch in 2001 our services have been extensively used in schools (primary and secondary sector) and local communities (e.g. in conjunction with sport specific governing bodies, sports clubs and through parish and district council initiatives), allowing children, male and female of all ages, to access high quality coaching across a range of sporting activities.
District Sports offers children of all ages a high quality of coaching in a number of different sports to enrich and improve there sporting opportunities. We offer pathways to both local children and coaches whilst improving sports provisions throughout the U.K.
Training and Support
District Sports have spent several months developing their comprehensive franchisee training programme and operations manual.
It has been designed to take somebody with some Sports Coaching training or experience and give them the required skills and knowledge to operate their own District Sports Franchise.
Initial training
The initial training takes place over five days at District Sports. The training covers the following areas:

- District Sports Product and Service Training
- District Sports overview and the market place
- Setting up your District Sports business
- Running your District Sports business
- Sales and marketing for your District Sports business
- Maximising income for you District Sports business.
- Administration for your District Sports business
- Reporting for your District Sports business
- On the job training for your District Sports business
This training gives you sufficient knowledge to confidently begin trading as District Sports within your exclusive territory.
Ongoing bespoke training
Once you have had your initial training from District Sports it doesn’t stop there. Ongoing bespoke training is available to you at any time if you want more advanced training or just some refresher training to go over anything again.
We are committed to the success of all our franchisees and feel that our training, support and backup are key features of our franchise offering.
Ongoing support
As mentioned above ongoing training is available at any time. District Sports also provides comprehensive telephone and e-mail support too. This ensures you are never left on your own and support is available whenever you need it.
Financial Information
The cost of the District Sports Franchise is £6,995 (+vat)
NB. All VAT is reclaimable
The District Sports franchise includes the following:
- Full training which is both office based and on the job. This covers all aspects of running a District Sports franchise.
- Trading under the District Sports brand name.
- An exclusive territory for you to trade in.
- Permanent ongoing head office support in all aspects of running your District Sports business.
- Complete start-up package – including stationary and sales literature.
- District Sports Polo shirt
- Sports and Equipment Package

Ongoing fees
- There is an ongoing fee of 10% of turnover, payable quarterly. This covers all your ongoing Head Office Support.

(5) Assistance with raising finance
Finance packages are available for prospective franchisees if required. A business plan template has been developed which is then amended to suit your particular circumstances. This can then be shown to any High Street Bank or Lender either by yourself or with our assistance. This approach helps secure the lowest finance rates available.

We will also train you in selling additional products and services which will further boost your turnover and profitability.
