Company History
LighterLife has been trading successfully for over 15 years in the UK and since 2007 in the Republic of Ireland. LighterLife joined the British Franchise Association as a full member in 2009 and currently has a network of over 300 Weight-Management Counsellors.
As a LighterLife Counsellor, you will study towards achieving an Edexcel diploma in all the aspects required to run a successful LighterLife Franchise. You will be trained to use cognitive behavioural therapy and transactional analysis techniques in the form of activities within group meetings to help clients understand their relationship with food and enable them to make a long term change to their eating habits.

As a LighterLife Franchisee you will need to have many qualities:
- Self motivated with commitment and drive.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- The ability to develop strong relationships.
- Excellent planning and time-management skills.
- Emotional resilience.
- A desire to make a difference to peoples’ lives.
- Computer literacy.
- Previous business experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
