Why Oscar?We’re a family business that started life making good honest pet food for working dogs and supermarkets. It was a fantastic start with formulations for Sainsbury’s and Linda McCartney. However, we found that customers had little guidance on what to feed their pets. Choosing the right food was a minefield and the level of service seemed non-existent. Getting it right was so important because, just like humans, pets 'are what they eat'. We have always believed that when it comes to nutrition it's too important to settle for second best. In 1993, we took matters into our own hands and the first OSCAR franchise was established. The Complete Pet Care Service was born and since then OSCAR has kept a firm focus on the developments in pet food manufacturing, while devoting time to its growing franchise network.

TRAINING
There is an effective training programme to encourage a positive and determined attitude, which will help each franchisee reach profitability and personal success. Training is divided into modules, starting at Head Office and followed by on-going support in the purchased area. Every new franchisee, as part of their training package, learns all aspects of nutrition - backed by an OSCAR trainer, a team of experts in nutritional, behavioural and veterinary concerns.
Financial Information
FINANCEFranchising is a partnership between the franchisor, the network of franchisees and the individual franchisee businesses that are totally dependent on each other for their success. It is advisable to only invest in a business that is affordable, leaving sufficient funds to manage on a day-today basis. OSCAR works closely with national banks to support all franchising opportunities. An OSCAR franchise is a cash business with a positive cash flow - credit card facilities to ensure immediate payment and low stock value with quick turnaround.
Running costs:
