About UsThe Sentinella magazine is a fun and popular publication, which was launched five years ago in the Axarquia region of Spain, on the Costa del Sol.
The Sentinella Global Magazine Network was launched in 2007 to give people the opportunity to run their own The Sentinella magazine from their home town or from an overseas destination they wish to relocate to. The title currently covers seven different areas of Spain and it is expanding across the globe.
The Sentinella Business Opportunity gives YOU the chance to start your very own The Sentinella magazine in your part of the world. Each area is sold only once, giving you total exclusivity in your region.
The Sentinella is a fun and light-hearted community magazine, distributed once a month, within a small area. Money is made from the companies and tradesmen who pay for an advertisement inside the magazine.
Along with the adverts, The Sentinella magazine also contains funny stories, pictures, lists, jokes, plus local information, such as a What’s On page, Useful Phone Numbers, Restaurant Reviews and Business Case Studies.
Distribution of the magazine is usually between 3,000-5,000 copies monthly and it is printed professionally; the only regular cost.
No experience is necessary in any part of the magazine production process, as we show you exactly what steps to take. We’re also available for ten hours a day via phone and email to offer you advice and support.
As The Sentinella Network grows and our pool of brand name advertisers does too, we will become the first choice for companies advertising their goods and services across the globe.
Our motto is ‘Spread The Fun.’ There is too much depressing information on the television and in the media. They say laughter is the best medicine and our goal is to give every person on the planet a daily dosage of it.
Training and SupportWhen you become a member of The Sentinella Network you will be responsible for designing, distributing, running and selling advertising space for the magazine in your allocated area.
To enable you to do this you will attend detailed training seminars (held on the Costa del Sol, Spain) in the following areas:
1. The Art of Selling Advertising Space - Learn how to effectively approach potential advertising clients for your magazine and sell.
2. Creative Writing Skills - A trained writer teaches you how to string words together in a fun and chatty way, which will have your readers entertained for hours on end.
3. Desiging & Laying Out the Magazine - Learn all the ropes involved with putting together your magazine in a simple and stress-free way.
4. The Importance of Positive Thinking & Goal Setting - How sheer thought processes can improve your business leaps and bounds.
5. Shadow a Franchisee - You will spend half a day with an existing franchisee who will show you the ropes.
You will receive ongoing telephone and email support in any aspect of running your magazine, plus daily telephone sessions for as long as is needed.
In addition to the training outlined above you will also receive three essential packs.
1. Training & Advice Pack. An essential guide covering the following key areas: Setting up Your Home Office, Advertising Sales, Advert Designs, Copywriting, Distribution, Accounts, Printing, Timeframes, Marketing, Brand Awareness.
2. Setting Up Your Magazine Pack. The esesential computer programmes you need, training and guidance notes in these programmes, USB stick contaning images, order forms, price list, magazine template and everything else you will possibly need.
3. Generating Advertising Sales Pack. 100 business cards, 100 price lists, 100 advert order forms, branded The Sentinella bag and pens.
Financial Information
Earnings
Expect to earn between 1,800 and 2,400 pounds/euros in your very first month. From then on each month your earnings should increase. We forecast the following figures:
3 months...2,800pm
6 months..3,200pm
12 months..6,000pm
24 months..8,000pm
Please note. these figures only represent 1 stream of income and with this business opportunity there are 5 income streams available.
Income Streams
These vary according to which package you choose. We currently have four entry levels...
1. From the magazine itself - advertisers pay for a boxed or lineage advert inside.
2. From your very own website (www.thesentinella/(yourarea).com) which you can update easily all by yourself whenever you want. Advertisers who want worldwide coverage will pay to advertise on your site.
3. From SentinellaHomes.com - a new spin-off website where estate agents and private house sellers can log in and add their properties for sale for an annual fee. You receive 50 per cent commission for every private seller or estate agent who signs up from within your area.
4. From Sentinella Desigh & Print - You will make money every time a company decides to use your printing services for business cards, flyers, posters, postcards and the like...
5. From our referrals scheme. Recommend a friend, associate, or realtive to join The Sentinella Network and we will give you 500€ on signing of their contract.
6. From Sentinella Shop, on each area website. You earn a percentage from any sales which come via your site.
In addition there will be more income streams available in the future as we develop more Sentinella-related products. And we have some real gems in mind!

A small monthly fee of 5 per cent of profits, or 50GBP (whichever is greater) applies to all entry levels above.
When you sell your magazine on to a third party, there is a transfer fee of ten per cent of the sale price.
